Winter Day Season 2026 Info

Welcome to Winter Day Season 2026.

Due to Public Holiday dates WDS26, will commence earlier than the past couple of years. Team Trials, selection and grading will all be conducted during Term 1, with rounds commencing in Term 2 after the Public Holiday weekends. We appreciate this may be challenging for families but encourage you all to get your season registrations in as soon as possible and dates in your calendars.

Registrations will close 31st January 2026 (end of Week 1, Term 1) if not filled prior. Late registrations and team placements are considered at the discretion of the Management Committee if space is available.

  • Players aged 8 years (Born 2018) can register and participate in a non-competitive MODDIES competition.
  • Players aged 9 years (Born 2017) can register and participate in the non-competitive MODDIES competition OR register and participate in the Junior competition at the Club’s discretion.
  • Players aged 10 and 11 years (Born 2016 & 2015) can register and participate in the Junior competition or higher at the Club’s discretion.
  • Players aged 12, 13 or 14 years (Born 2012, 2013 or 2014) can register and participate in the Intermediate competition.
  • Players aged 15 years or older (Born 2011 or earlier) can register and participate in the Opens competition.

Moddies, Juniors and Intermediate are mixed competitions, Opens is separate Ladies Only.

Pre Season & Training

After the success of our 2025 preseason program, preseason commences in February again with 3 weeks of Squad Training in age categories. After trials, teams will have a meet and greet session before individual team training follows from March. 

All Preseason and Training for 2026 will be at Brisbane Netball Association, 470 Rode Rd Chermside. Trials will be held at Hillbrook Anglican College as below. 

FEBRUARY PRESEASON TRAINING

Mondays on February 2nd, 9th & 16th @Brisbane Netball Association, 470 Rode rd, Chermside. Sign In at Ct 9 for all ages.

  • Moddies 4.30 - 6.00pm, please arrive at 4.15pm for numbering/photo

  • Juniors 4.30 - 6.00pm, please arrive at 4.15pm for numbering/photo

  • Inters 5.30 - 7pm, please arrive at 5.15pm for numbering/photo

  • Opens 6.00 - 7.30pm, please arrive at 5.45pm for numbering/photo


All players registering for the season are required to attend February Preseason Training. These sessions will be based on age group and incorporate a wide variety of strength and conditioning and netball skills sessions. Selectors will also be attending some sessions, and this will contribute towards team selection for the 2026 WDS.

FEBRUARY/MARCH TEAM TRAINING

Mondays from February 23rd onwards, team training will be @Brisbane Netball Association, 470 Rode rd, Chermside. Approximate times are below. Please note these are subject to change pending team finalisation after trials.

  • Inters 5.30 - 6.45pm
  • Opens 6.45 - 8.00pm


Trials

At Fever we follow an inclusive program and all players each season trial and are assessed by coaches and independent selectors and placed into teams with similar skill levels accordingly. 

To be considered for selection in a Fever team for Winter Day Season 2026 all registered players must attend their trial session as below. Trials are compulsory, if you are unable to make trials for any reason you must contact the club as soon as possible.

SELECTION PROCESS

Any player not attending trials wishing to be placed in a team will be at the discretion of the Fever Committee and subject to availability of places in teams.

Player assessment will be done by Independent Selectors and Coaches, final team placement is at the discrection of the committee. Teams will be announced via email to all registered players.  

If you have not completed the netball connect step of player registration the player WILL NOT be able to take the court for squad training or trials. If you are having issues, please reach out as soon as possible.

Uniform

All players are advised to order their required uniform online during registration, to ensure we have the stock available on hand before fixtures begin.  We will advise uniform collection information once stock is available. Players must wear the Fever dress with either Fever Bike pants or plain black bike pants or Fever singlet with black bottoms.

Fees

Full season Fees are $413 for all divisions.

·       $133 Netball Queensland 

·       $145 Brisbane Netball Association* 

·       $135 Fever Club Fee

*Returning players from WDS 2025 will be provided a discount code for use in Netball Connect which will reduce the BNA portion of their fees by 15%. This is being provided to returning WDS25 families as a thank you and recognition of the challenges endured during WDS25. This code is not transferable and cannot be shared with anyone. Failure to abide by these terms will forfeit use of the code. Please note if you are redeeming a $200 Play on Sport Voucher on your registration this will be deducted first and the 15% discount will be taken off the remaining portion of the BNA fee. 

Fever Netball offers payment plans for registration for full season only, payment plans are required to be paid off by Monday 2nd February 2026 prior to taking the court for preseason sessions or trials. This is to ensure Netball Queensland Insurance is active prior to players taking the court. 

If you wish to setup a payment plan you must email our club at fever.netball.club@outlook.com as soon as you have completed step 1 of registration. You will then be sent a link to set up payment plan via our website. 

Once your payment plan has been setup and approved by the club we will than give you a discount code to use in netball connect so that you can complete step 2 of your registration without upfront payment required. 

We also accept the Qld Government $200 Play On Voucher subsidy; you must have the voucher handy at Step 2 of registration and enter it during the checkout process in Netball Connect. 

Limited bursaries applications are also available on request via email for families needing assistance to allow children to play netball.  Requests for consideration should be emailed to fever.netball.club@outlook.com a the time of completing Step 1 of registration. All applications should be received by 31 January 2026, late applications will only be considered at the discretion of the committee.
