WDS 2026 Trials Information

FEBRUARY PRESEASON TRAINING

Mondays on February 2nd, 9th & 16th @Brisbane Netball Association, 470 Rode rd, Chermside. Sign In at Ct 9 for all ages.

  • Moddies 4.30 - 6.00pm, please arrive at 4.15pm for numbering/photo

  • Juniors 4.30 - 6.00pm, please arrive at 4.15pm for numbering/photo

  • Inters 5.30 - 7pm, please arrive at 5.15pm for numbering/photo

  • Opens 6.00 - 7.30pm, please arrive at 5.45pm for numbering/photo

Please keep an eye on our socials for any changes to times, these will also be posted in Stack App.

All players registering for the season are required to attend February Preseason Training. These sessions will be based on age group and incorporate a wide variety of strength and conditioning and netball skills sessions. Selectors will also be attending some sessions, and this will contribute towards team selection for the 2026 WDS.

TRIALS

This year Team Trials will be a one trial day. All registered players (except Moddies) must attend the trial session as below, these trials are compulsory unless you have already communicated with the club and additionally all players are required to attend February Preseason Training as selectors will be assessing players during the preseason training sessions as well.

WHERE

  • Hillbrook Anglican School, 45 Hurdcotte Street, Enoggera Queensland 4051
  • Parking and Access is via Hurdcotte Street (please see map below). There is a carpark available as well as on street parking. Please do not park in the driveway at Hillbrook, this is pedestrian access only, we also as that you are respectful and do not park across personal driveways.

SESSION TIMES

MODDIES - Trial attendance is not required for moddies, please attend Monday preseason training only. 


JUNIORS - 8.30am - 9.30am

Arrive from 8.00am for name to be marked off and photo/number.

You must be ready to take the court for warm up at 8.15am sharp.


INTERS - 10.00am - 11.30am

Arrive from 9.30am for name to be marked off and photo/number.

You must be ready to take the court for warm up at 9.45am sharp.


OPENS - 12.00pm - 1.00pm

Arrive from 11.30am for name to be marked off and photo/number.

You must be ready to take the court for warm up at 11.45am sharp. 



FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT TO BRING

  • Wear comfortable netball wear (uniform not required to be worn), remember we have to write a number on the arm and leg so wear appropriate clothing.

  • The venue is a covered venue, so no sunscreen is required.

  • Bring lots of water.


WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN'T COME

  • If the player has a reason for being unable to attend trials you MUST email the club asap.

  • If the player is sick on the day, then we also ask for an email.

  • Please DO NOT message committee directly or your old coach as they might not be at trials.


SELECTION PROCESS

  • To be considered for selection in a Fever team for Winter Day Season 2026 all players must attend the relevant trial session.

  • If the player is unable to attend - please advise in writing prior to trials to be considered for selection. 

  • Any player not attending trials wishing to be placed in a team will be at the discretion of the Fever Committee and subject to availability of places in teams.

  • Team selection will be done by Independent Selectors and Coaches and teams announced via the Fever web page.  

  • If you have not completed the netball connect step of player registration the player WILL NOT be able to take the court for squad training or trials. If you are having issues, please email the club as soon as possible.

  • The first Team training session (Meet & Greet) will be Monday 23rd March 2026 @ BNA. Times TBA.


UNIFORMS 

  • If you have ordered & paid for uniforms, you can collect these from Suzie at pre-season training on the 9th February or trials on the 14th February.
  • JUMPER ORDERS are now open and will close Sunday 29th March 2026, so they ideally arrive in time for season start. 
  • For anyone still needing to order uniforms please do so via the Fever website. 

  • Payment on the day of trials (14th) will be available. 

  • Size guides are available on the website, and you can try/confirm sizes at trials. (Please ensure you arrive early or stay after your session to do this)

PARENT/GUARDIAN INFORMATION SESSION

Parents/Guardians are required to attend an Information Session on Saturday 22nd March 2025. The sessions will take place in the first half hour of your player’s trial session under the shade sails near the Indoor Sports Centre.

  • Juniors - 8.30am - 9am

  • Inters - 10.00am - 10.30am

  • Opens - 11.45pm - 12.00pm (quick refresh for players and parents)

This is compulsory, and attendance will be noted, if you are unable to attend, please email the club ASAP.If you have multiple players in different sessions, you are only required to attend once.


Due to limited space inside the centre parents will not be permitted inside the sports centre during trials. 


Moddies parent/guardians, we will run an info session for you at Preseason training on Monday 9th February 2026 @ BNA, 5.00pm - 5.30pm. Please meet on Ct 9.
