Fever Officials - Summer 2023

Officials for Brisbane North Fever Netball Club.

Providing the following information during this registration process will let the Executive Committee know your following intentions & be able to place you into a team:

1. Firstly, select what type of role you would like to take on? Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager &/or an Umpires role.

2. Which age group you would like to take (if applicable)? If you have a preference for a particular team, please tell us.

3. Is it a Coaching Role? If so, you will need to supply your Accreditation including Expiry Date (this is compulsory & can be obtained from https://learning.netball.com.au (MyNetball has been decommissioned by Netball Australia) - Minimum qualification required is Foundation Course. If your coaching qualification has expired you MUST follow this up with Netball Queensland.

4. Is it a Umpiring Role? You will need to supply your Accreditation including Expiry Date (this is compulsory & can be obtained from https://learning.netball.com.au (MyNetball has been decommissioned by Netball Australia).

5. If you are 18 years and older - ALL official roles need to have a Blue Card. Again this is compulsory & you will need to supply the Number & Expiry (if you don't have one, send an email to Fever.Netball.Club@outlook.com to apply).

Welcome to Summer Night Netball 2023.

Brisbane Netball Association has announced Season details:
The Summer season will be a straight 8 week season.

Tuesday nights -
Moddies - season starts 3rd October 2023 and games are 5.30pm
Intermediate players - starts 3rd October 2023 and games are 5.30pm, 6.30pm or 7.30pm **10 min quarters**

Wednesday nights -
Junior Players - season starts 4th October 2023 and games are 5.30pm or 6.30pm. **10 min quarters**
Opens players - season starts 4th October 2023 and games are 6.30pm or 8pm. **15 min quarters**

Training:
No training for Summer Season.

Age Group and Team Allocation: Ages are as at 31st December -
Moddies - Players aged 7 (Year of birth 2016 & only if they have completed SET in 2023), 8 or 9 years old. (Year of birth 2014-2015).
Juniors - Players aged 9, 10 or 11 years old. (Year of birth 2014-2012)
Intermediate - Players aged 12, 13 or 14 years old. (Year of birth 2011-2009)
Opens - Players aged 15 years or old. (Year of birth 2008 - 1900's)

Summer Fever Trials - player must attend both -
Moddies Trials - Tuesday 5th & 12th September 2023 at 5.30-6.30pm at BNA.
Intermediate Trials - Tuesday 5th & 12th September 2023 at 6.30-7.30pm at BNA.
Junior Trials - Wednesday 6th & 13th September 2023 at 5.30-6.30pm at BNA.
Open Trials - Wednesday 6th & 13th September 2023 at 6.30-7.30pm at BNA.

To be considered for selection in a Fever team for this summer all players must attend both trial session. If you are unable to attend - please advise in writing prior to trials to be considered for selection. Any player not attending trials wishing to be placed in a team will be at the discretion of the Fever Committee.
Team selection will be done by Independent Selectors and Coaches and teams announced via the Fever web page and email.

Fees are as per the fee schedule - **please note a returning player is a player who has already played netball in 2023 and registered via Netball Connect **.

Fever accept the State Government Fairplay Vouchers.
** You must apply for this voucher and have a copy prior to registering as you need to upload a copy at time of registration**

We also have payment plans available, here through MAJESTRI for anyone who needs them.

Step 2: Register with Netball Connect - PLEASE ensure you select or type BRISBANE NORTH FEVER NETBALL CLUB when choosing the organisation for registration. Before checkout apply a discount code FEVER.

Please note you are unable to take the court for trials & games until your registration is complete in both sites.

Fever NetSetGo Program Summer 2023

Fever Net Set Go Program 2023

Brisbane North Fever Netball Club will again run our Net, Set and Go program on Tuesday afternoons 4-5pm, in Summer 2023 for players aged 5-10 years.
Our program focusses on teaching the fundamental skills in a fun and fast paced environment with our experienced coaches.

NET, SET & GO program will start Tuesday 3rd October and run for 8 weeks until 21st November 2023 at the Brisbane Netball Association Courts, 470 Rode Rd, Chermside.

So which program is right for your little netballer?
Net Program - players born 2018 or 2017 (aged 5-6 years) and new to netball - 4pm to 5pm.
Set Program - players born 2016, 2015, 2014 and 2013 (aged 7-8 and those new to netball aged 9-10) - 4pm to 5pm.
Go Program - players born 2015, 2014 and 2013 (completed Set program) - 4pm to 5pm.

Dates are -
Tuesday 3rd October, 10th October, 17th October, 24th October, 31st October.
Tuesday 7th November, 14th November & 21st November. No provision for wet weather makeup sessions.

RETURNING PLAYERS TO THE NET/SET PROGRAM
(Player MUST have participated in the Winter 2023 NetSetGo Program)

Please register your player by clicking the Register Now button.
Netball Australia will send each new participant their Net and Set package including shirt to the address registered. We have no control over this delivery.
Brisbane North Fever Netball Club will offer all new participants a complementary set of bike pants. Participants are free to wear the Net Set Go shirts and bike pants to the sessions, or whatever clothing they feel comfortable in.

Your child will learn:
Correct landing, Pivoting, Change of Direction, Passing and Catching, Netball Positions, Using Space and Teamwork.
The final three weeks of the Set program focuses on match play against our Go teams to ensure our Set players are ready for playing fixtures. Go players will be involved in more match play in the program so they are fixtures ready.

PLEASE ensure you select or type BRISBANE NORTH FEVER NETBALL CLUB when choosing the organisation for registration.
This step registers you to the State and National body and activates your insurance and must be done.

Want to learn to be an umpire or coach?

Brisbane North Fever Netball Club offer a range of programs to help interested members become qualified Coaches and Umpires.


We have Junior Umpiring and Coaching development programs for those under 18 wanting to learn, and adults with no experience but a passion to learn.  In house development programs are cost free, and the club assists with State and National Accreditation.


All officials aged over 18, are required to have a Working With Children Blue Card before commencing any official roles.
