2022/23 Summer Night Season


Welcome to Summer Night Netball 2022/23.

Brisbane Netball Association has announced Season details:
The Summer season runs for 12 weeks + finals (2 weeks grading, 10 rounds of games then 2 weeks of finals for teams who qualify) ** Moddies - No grading or finals - 12 straight rounds**

Tuesday nights -
Moddies - season starts 4th October 2022 and games are 5.30pm
Intermediate players - starts 4th October 2022 and games are 5.30pm or 7pm.
Wednesday nights -
Junior Players - season starts 5th October 2022 and games are 5.30pm or 7pm.
Opens players - season starts 5th October 2022 and games are 7pm or 8.30pm.

Fixtures stop for the Christmas break after the 6th and 7th December and resume 24th and 25th of January for the last 2 rounds of fixtures.
Semi finals are 7th and 8th February, Grand Final 14th and 15th February 2023.

Fever teams DO NOT train weekly during Summer Season - instead we host monthly optional sessions for team bonding and fitness, including beach netball, watching matches at the movies, and some specialised fitness sessions. Coaches will advise via the Team App chat function of dates and venues.

Age Group and Team Allocation: Ages are as at 31st December -
Moddies - Players aged 7 (Year of birth 2015 & only if they have completed SET in 2022), 8 or 9 years old. (Year of birth 2013-2014).
Juniors - Players aged 9, 10 or 11 years old. (Year of birth 2013-2011)
Intermediate - Players aged 12, 13 or 14 years old. (Year of birth 2010-2008)
Opens - Players aged 15 years or old. (Year of birth 2007 - 1900's)

Summer Fever Trials - player must attend both -
Moddies Trials - Tuesday 23rd & 30th August 2022 at 5.30-6.30pm at BNA.
Intermediate Trials - Tuesday 23rd & 30th August 2022 at 6.30-7.30pm at BNA.
Junior Trials - Wednesday 24th & 31st August 2022 at 5.30-6.30pm at BNA.
Open Trials - Wednesday 24th & 31st August 2022 at 6.30-7.30pm at BNA.

To be considered for selection in a Fever team for this summer all players must attend both trial session. If you are unable to attend - please advise in writing prior to trials to be considered for selection. Any player not attending trials wishing to be placed in a team will be at the discretion of the Fever Committee.
Team selection will be done by Independent Selectors and Coaches and teams announced via the Fever web page and email.

Fees are as per the fee schedule - **please note a returning player is a player who has already played netball in 2022 and registered via Netball Connect **.

The State Government has opened up the $150 Fair Play Voucher subsidy for this season for those who are eligible.
** You must apply for this voucher and have a copy prior to registering as you need to upload a copy at time of registration**

We also have payment plans available, here through MAJESTRI for anyone who needs them.

How to register:
Registration requires a 2 step process again this season -
Step 1: Register and Pay through Fever on our website (hosted by Majestri). www.fevernetballclub.org.au
Step 2: Register with NetballConnect - PLEASE ensure you select or type BRISBANE NORTH FEVER NETBALL CLUB when choosing the organisation for registration. This step registers you to the State and National body and activates your insurance. ** INSERT DISCOUNT CODE - FEVERSUMMER** No payment is required at this step. If you have any problems, please contact our Registrar Georgina on fever.netball.club@outlook.com.
Please note you are unable to take the court for trials & games until your registration is complete in both sites.

Want to learn to be an umpire or coach?

Brisbane North Fever Netball Club offer a range of programs to help interested members become qualified Coaches and Umpires.

We have Junior Umpiring and Coaching development programs for those under 18 wanting to learn, and adults with no experience but a passion to learn.  In house development programs are cost free, and the club assists with State and National Accreditation.

All officials aged over 18, are required to have a Working With Children Blue Card before commencing any official roles.
