Winter Day Season 2025 age groups for Saturday structured Fixtures are outlined below.

Moddies | 2017 or 2016 | * 8 or 9 |
Juniors | 2015 or 2014 | *10 or 11 |
Inters | 2013, 2012 or 2011 | **12, 13 or 14 |
Opens | 2010 or earlier | 15 and older |
*Players in these age groups can play a higher Grade at the discretion of their Club to a maximum of 3 times before they will be required to shift categories.
** Can play up in Opens but only for maximum 3 games & notification must be given to BNA. They cannot be moved to Opens.
Moddies, Juniors and Inters are mixed competitions, Opens is ladies only.
What is NetSetGo?
NetSetGO is Netball Australia’s only junior entry netball program. It provides children from 5 to 10 years with a positive introduction to netball, incorporating skill activities, minor games, music, dance and modified matches. Delivered in a fun and safe environment, the weekly program is coordinated by accredited coaches to ensure all participants have an enjoyable experience, while developing fundamental life skills.
The program consists of three tiers – ‘Net’, ‘Set’ and ‘GO’.
- Net is recommended for children aged 5-6 years
- Set is recommended for children aged 7-8 year-olds
- GO is recommended for children aged 8/9-10 year olds
